Explore  Tours

Our Explorer Rides will take you North, South, East and West as you explore Parramatta's surrounding suburbs. Perfect for a family fun day out, they are roughly 5-10km and highlight the local bike/share paths. These itineraries have a duration of about 2 hours.

Our tours are seasonal, meaning only a selection are available per season.
What's currently running: Lake Parramatta & Rydalmere Wharf.

Available on weekends, public holidays and school holidays.

Explore

Explore shared paths cycling by the river and along O'Connell St, followed by quiet streets leading into the bushland of Lake Parramatta. Discover places of interest, Lennox Bridge Portal, BankWest stadium, Catholic Cemetery and heritage cottages. Experience swimming, paddling and walking, meet the local animals or enjoy the picnic shelter, cafe and playgrounds.

Explore

Cycling along the river through Heritage-listed Parra Park, follow the shared path along the Queens, Darcy, and Mons road. Discover Redbank walking trail where you can experience the cool shade of Toongabbie Creek and surrounding bushland. Excite the senses, immerse yourself in the habitat, what birds animals and insects can you find.

Explore

Follow the shared path between Parramatta and Harris Park Stations where signs lead the way under M4, connecting with a cycleway along A'Beckett's creek. Continues into Holroyd Gardens where the old Brick Pit towers form part of the street landscape of housing development. What was once a hole in the ground became a place for leisure and recreation.

Explore

Parramatta Valley Cycle Way follows the river foreshore encountering a number of habitats and wildlife from the mangroves and bushlands. Shared path includes boardwalks and creek crossing, passing restored Heritage buildings before arriving at Rydalmere Ferry wharf for a different return home experience.
